Service Description
Looking to learn the art of pottery? At JAE Ceramics, I offer friendly and personalised pottery lessons for adult beginners. My one-to-one sessions ensure that you receive individualised attention and guidance as you explore the wonders of working with clay, whether you are hand-building or working on the potter's wheel. Start your pottery journey with me today and unleash your creativity. If you decide at the end of the lesson that you wish to fire and keep your pot, there will be an extra £5.00 bisque and glaze firing fee for this service. You will be contacted when you pot is ready for collection. Or, hopefully you are bitten by the pottery bug and will decide to sign up for further lessons, which can be discussed. Before booking, please read my Terms and Conditions for pottery lessons and the cancellation policy. On the day of your confirmed session, please dress in clothes that you do not mind will become covered in clay. Remove your watch and all jewellery. To aid your enjoyment of the session, it is highly recommended that long nails are trimmed as these impede the ability to work well with clay.
Cancellation Policy
The duration of a pottery taster lesson is one hour. Lessons and workshops generally take place on Tuesday and Wednesday. A 50% deposit is payable when booking a pottery lesson. The balance is payable by cash or card at the end of the lesson. Should the client wish to keep their pot, a £5.00 firing and glaze fee is payable per pot. It may take a minimum of four weeks for pots to be ready, as this depends on the studio being able to fire a full kiln. The client will be contacted to collect their fired pots. Cancellations are accepted and the deposit is refundable more than 14 days prior to confirmed booking. No refund of deposit will be given where cancellations of bookings are received less than 14 days prior to the booked date.
