JAE Ceramics
JAE Ceramics is a home-based pottery business founded in 2020 by Judith Annakie-Eriksen and located in Essex, United Kingdom.
I create ceramic pieces mainly with porcelain clay using the pinch and/or coil building methods or on the wheel, which are then decorated with carved patterns, slips, oxides and/or glazes.
Monochromatic tableware form the main part of the product range, which can be used as functional or decorative display pieces to enhance your living or working space. Occasionally my offerings include ceramic jewellery and candle holders using eco soy wax scented with my own blend of fragrance oils.
Inspiration is drawn from the simple and elegant forms of Scandinavian design, the patterns of beautiful traditional South African textile prints, and contemporary jewellery design.
I am fairly active on the craft fair scene at events organised by Folk and Bespoke (Essex) and Eventissima (Kent), as well as other ad hoc events. Just take a look at my Events page for upcoming shows. Selected works are available at Alexander Morgan Gallery in Epping and in The Black Farmer Farm Shop in Brixton.
