JAE Ceramics

Welcome to JAE Ceramics, a modest, but ambitious home-based pottery business established by Judith Annakie-Eriksen in 2020, located in Essex, United Kingdom. I specialise in crafting exquisite ceramic pieces primarily using high-quality porcelain clay, employing traditional techniques such as pinch and coil building as well as wheel throwing. My creations are thoughtfully decorated with unique patterns, colourful slips, rich oxides, and beautiful glazes, making them perfect for both functional use and decorative display.

My main ceramic range features monochromatic tableware that not only enhances your dining experience but also adds a touch of elegance to your living or working space. Occasionally, I venture into creating stunning ceramic jewellery and stylish candle holders, which are made using eco-friendly soy wax infused with my own carefully blended fragrance oils.

The design inspirations for work are drawn from a variety of sources, including the simplicity and elegance of Scandinavian design, the intricate patterns found in beautiful traditional South African textile prints, and the contemporary aesthetics of modern jewellery design.

I am actively engaged in the craft fair scene. So, be sure to check my Events page for upcoming shows where you can see my work in person. Additionally, selected pieces from my collection are available at the Alexander Morgan Gallery in Epping and The Black Farmer Farm Shop in Brixton.

I invite you to explore my creations and discover the art of JAE Ceramics in my online shop or the gallery.  I am an experienced pottery tutor and offer one-to-one lessons in my studio, or group workshops at suitable off-site venues. Feel free to contact me about a ceramic commission or special order.
